If I remember correctly, on my 2010, you could reach the tabs with a long screwdriver from above through a hole near the hood hinge. JR -

DVD Playback Possible on Front Nav Screen?
Yes, it can be done. I've done it with my 2010 LR4. I think you have to put the display in diagnostic mode and then you can pick which monitor to watch. Can't remember which forum I found the instructions for this on, but I'm sure it's out there. JR -

Maps for Nav System
This has been one of my biggest frustrations among many regarding the nav. I bought my LR4 new in 2010. The map set loaded on it was dated 2008 and was still showing a gas station that had been closed for the past 4 yrs! I asked LR for updated maps, but none are available. The same maps... -

iPhone with iOS4 & Pandora work fine (so far)!
Same result here. No change with 4.2. Very disappointing, since car stereo compatibility was one of the fixes listed in the update. -

2011 LR4 Voice Controls
You're not missing much. Like the rest of the electronics on the car, it works well, but suffers from an absolutely horrible user interface. You have to memorize the list of magic words to make it work. For instance, you could say Navigation: Show POI If by some freak chance it... -

iPhone with iOS4 & Pandora work fine (so far)!
This is exactly what happens to me now. It worked great under iOS4, but once I upgraded to 4.1 it quit working. Other streaming audio apps do the same thing since 4.1 To double check that it was 4.1 that changed, I also tried my wife's phone before and after the upgrade. Same results. -

As you say, the track info is displayed on the big screen, but it's lost amongst a clutter of other information. There's lots of screen real estate, but the info is crammed up into a small space, and is limited to only a few characters. You have to touch the screen to see more. That crosshair... -

Well, if you saw "mp3 track 3", that's a whole lot more than mine shows. I'll have to take it up with the dealer along with my other laundry list of items. As I said earlier, most of my issues have been resolved by re-re-reading the owners manual, but it shouldn't be that difficult!! ...and... -

wow, that's amazing!! I really like this car, but I've got to say that the nav, audio and other controls are the most baffling of any I've ever used. I've never had to spend so much time reading an owners manual over and over!! It's really hard to believe that my 7-yr old Infiniti had a better... -

I just bought a new LR4 HSE lux. The sales brochure specifically mentions that the drivers LCD displays "infotainment highlights". I see a similar picture in the owners manual too, but can't find any direct mention of it. My car shows nothing. Do other people see any info there? JR
