    2011 LR4 Misfire/rough idle

@Azoo I would have thought the same thing in regards to the injectors. As a side note, I wasn’t sold on the o2 sensors causing the issue, but found that they needed to be swapped anyway due to mileage. I felt it best to spend money on regular maintenance items that needed replacement before...

    2011 LR4 Misfire/rough idle

Changed the o2 sensors and no fix. I ended up ordering new injectors and currently working on those. I got everything broke down to the fuel rail attached to the injectors. Does anyone have any advice for separating the two? The retainer rings, to me, look to keep the fuel rail from being...

    2011 LR4 Misfire/rough idle

@Pfunk951 Did you only throw codes on one entire bank? I’m going to replace the oxygen sensor tomorrow morning (suggested at 100k miles, so needs to be done anyway I suppose) and see if that helps. It just seems strange that all 4 injectors on one bank went bad at the same time, but I can’t say...

    2011 LR4 Misfire/rough idle

Anyone have any experience changing out the oxygen sensor? It’s not so much the sensor that’s hard to get to as much as it is the plug behind the heat shield. It’s the driver side sensor.

    2011 LR4 Misfire/rough idle

I was reading on another forum a guy mentioned it was his o2 sensor on the driver side. Very similar situation. I’m gonna try to find more info on that.

    2011 LR4 Misfire/rough idle

Finally got around to changing the plugs and managed to read the codes. Still showing misfires in cylinders 2,4,6,& 8 (all driver’s side). Codes: (P0)302,304,306,308,300 (random/multiple cylinder misfire), and 316 (engine misfire detected on startup). Any ideas on what could cause just one...

    2011 LR4 Misfire/rough idle

@DouglasH, it’s the 5.0l v8 @andy727, there may or may not be much legitimacy to the theory of burning the pump up when running the tank empty. I probably should’ve tried to fact check that info after reading it on the forums... As an update, the truck has sat for a few days (aside from a few...

    2011 LR4 Misfire/rough idle

@ryanjl, it does seem the most likely culprit at the moment. I’ll check on the TB as well. I appreciate the advice.

    2011 LR4 Misfire/rough idle

@ktm525, the advice is much appreciated. I’ll work down that list to start. I’m personally going to attempt the plugs. I’ve always worked on my previous vehicles, although this will be the first for this truck since it was under warranty up until 100k miles (aside from the usual wearables that...

    2011 LR4 Misfire/rough idle

2011 LR4 with 118k miles. Owned this truck since it had 18k miles, no previous engine problems. I was driving to an appointment yesterday and was running late as well as was almost out of gas. Usually never get below 1/4 of a tank, but got the “low fuel” notification while en route, so i...

Compressor bracket P/N for mid year 2011 LR4

I called the dealership this morning and after giving them my VIN, the part number is RQU500064. Thank you both for your help. It is very much appreciated!

    20" RR wheels on 2014 LR4

I run with 22" rims (285/35ZR22), no spacer, no rubbing. Edit: lol, I have a completely different set of wheels and tires for off-road use! It's not just for looking pretty all the time!

Compressor bracket P/N for mid year 2011 LR4

Okay, so I became "that guy" when I went to change my brakes on my LR4. Of course I started with the driver side rear and, having worked on my cars since I was 16, took for granted that I knew what I was doing. I of course researched the process, but didn't think twice when I placed the jack...

    Showoff Your LR4

Thanks! I've been reading through this entire post and there are some really beautiful trucks here. I can't wait to see some more new pics from others. I'll take a couple pics of the interior someday soon to show off some interior goodies, too.

    Showoff Your LR4

I hadn't noticed this post for the LR4s before now, so I figured I'd add mine to the list of pics. I've had my LR4 HSE Lux for a little over a year now and couldn't imagine driving anything else! I've had it on some pretty awesome trails, but have yet to take any great pics, so that'll be...

    Premium VS Regular Gas

Mike, I agree that you should try to use higher octane when you have the option in our higher compression motors. The OP was concerned because of shortages, not because of cost.

    Premium VS Regular Gas

I was thinking the same thing when I read the remark about "carbon up the valves." Despite popular belief, octane rating doesn't relate to the quality of the fuel, but it's ability to detonate under compression. Higher compression motors require a fuel that can withstand the higher compression...

    LR4 audio problems

I've already had my first radio replaced about two months ago because it up and died. Now the replacement is doing exactly this. I'm going to be really irritated if it doesn't resolve itself by tomorrow morning as I have to make a ten hour trip back to Florida. That's going to be a really long...

    New LR4 owner from Florida

Greetings all! I recently became a new owner in the Land Rover family with a purchase of a 2011 LR4. It has every goodie available and is an extremely amazing automobile as of this far. I haven't had the opportunity to take the vehicle off road yet, but I did manage to take it on the dealership...
