    Tire pressure sensor probkem

Given a 3 hour drive, I would wait until you have another requirement for service & just keep tabs on the tire pressures manually. It won't hurt anything, just a nuisance TPMS readout...

    Tire pressure sensor probkem

Had one of mine replaced on an LR3 which failed at the stem...had a local tire shop (Les Schwab--Fairfield, CA) do it for the cost of the part and it worked just fine. As they aren't doing anything cosmic or "Land Rover specific" I had no problem taking my LR to them instead of the dealer. 3...

    Front Lower Control Arm Replacement

Had a 2006 LR3 HSE which needed new bushings as the oil-filled ones were leaking out. Dealer recommended to replace whole LCA based on cost comparison of pushing out/in new bushings alone versus simply R&R the whole LCA which was significantly less labor cost/hours; therefore said we weren't...

Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

I bought the AT/2 in 255/60R18 with XL load rating. This one was not rated for severe snow & ice (no snowflake) but from much personal experience in much snow, it performed truly amazing! As far as weight, they were quoted at 40lbs. My experience was in comparison to the OEM Goodyear Wrangler...

Front diff vibrates at highway speeds

That's awesome Land Rover took care of it... (not that it happened in the first place)! I always had phenomenal support experiences at Land Rover (as well as BMW), but not so much the case with Nissan & Toyota. Always treated with respect, didn't "feel" like I was being lied to, the...

Front diff vibrates at highway speeds

Houm_WA, the compressor was replaced twice in just over one year. Due to work requirements (travel out of country routinely) I never had the time to spend on learning how to do the mechanical repairs myself, subsequently relegating me to use the dealer. In my area, there is literally only one...

LR4 Towing report... and my new toy

I see you say a ...ton of fuel... curious though what the average mpg was during the tow if you recall? Thanks.

Front diff vibrates at highway speeds

I had BOTH front and rear diff's replaced by the dealer on our '06 LR3 in 2012 with only 60K miles on it! I honestly didn't even notice the supposed noise, but while I had it in to repair some other issues pre-sale, they mention they heard some extra noise from the diff's during a test drive...

Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

General Grabber AT/2 I used a set of General Grabber AT/2 tires on my '06 LR3... loved their capability while snowbound during east coast blizzards and west coast ski trips. Not able to attest to true "off road" strength as we didn't venture that way, but they were a great replacement to the...

    Real MPG

One website that might be of use to you would be www.fuelly.com. Drivers of all different vehicles, (including LR4s), post their actual data that you can compare.

    New Tires

General Grabber AT/2 We had an '06 LR3 SE. After we purchased it, we replaced the stock Wrangler SR/A tires (which were horribly loud and wearing uneven in the rear due to mal-alignment). I ordered a set of General Grabber AT/2 tires from Tirerack.com and had them shipped to the dealer who...

    2014 LR4 on Landrover.com

My guess is as that was the International (UK) site, it's quoting Imperial miles per gallon, not US mpg... hence 24.6 Imp mpg for the SCV6 engine converts to about 20.5 US mpg, and 28.8 Imp mpg to 24 US mpg. Still a huge percentage increase over the V8 mpg specs. I just hope the tow rating...
