mine are on the outside. Most of the shimmy is between 50-70mph...clears up after then. I can't tell if the tire is just more sensitive to the road imperfections or if it is the balance job.
Must say I love these tires...But am having a problem getting the shimmy out at 50 mph plus. I have had them rebalanced twice...Do any of you have this problem or do you think its the guys at discount tire not doing it right?
Roverman is correct.......I spit it all out wrong in my post. Anyhow, I got the Coopers put on at lunch today. What an awesome tire. Thanks nwoods for letting us know about them. I think the ride is a lot smoother for everyday driving also. Plus it fills up the wheel wells nicely.
thanks guys. I actually found a calculator on Discount Tires website also. I assume nwoods that you had it reversed in your post because a bigger tire should show a faster speed than the stock, correct? Discount's site shows about a 4 mph difference.
finally...someone woke up on here and replied. I am in Denver. I sold the 06 to get a MKIII RR...after about 5 months I couldn't take it anymore. Plus, the dealers had cash back on the 07's to the tune of about a 9k discount altogether
I did...its great for the plastics but hard as heck to get off. I wiped it with a wet cloth per the instructions and that made it a little easier. I am very loyal to Klasse normally. Its a lot easier to take off
Just sold the 06 and bought an 07 Stornaway....But have a quick question. If we have a learning transmission, then wouldn't the easy driving during break in actually hurt us?
I like the acorn description. Mine seems to be a very large acorn. From what I see dealers don't put forth much effort to find rattles and noises unless you pressure them.
kind of a popping sound...thought it was the shades but have had all of the latches replaced and still get it. tried the seats up and flat and same thing. I swear someone in a thread on Edmonds had to have his roof re-glued.
