Thanks ,Mike and Joey. I had a small leak in the system which I could not pin point , so I took the opportunity to put some radiator stop leak in the system right after I had refitted the water pump. Disco Overheating
Since renewing the water pump on my 1997 Disco 1 ,with 130,000 kms I am experiencing constant overheating. I've bled and rebled the cooling system,removed the thermotstat . Thanks for the info,Chongo. My manual is very misleading. I am making up my own locking tool,don't trust my own welding ,so I am getting an experienced welder to weld it up.- bordonladdie

Torque Setting , Crankshaft Pulley
I am about to renew the timing belt on my 1997 Land Rover Disco 1, w/ 300 TDI engine (105,000 Kms). The repair manual is quoting 80 NM @ 90 deg, whereas I have seen a figure of 340 Nm in other articles relation to this repair operation. Appreciate your help. Thanks- bordonladdie
