LR4 5.0 Chain Guides actual problem?

Hi, The timing chain tensioners and guides that were installed with the vehicle in the factory do go bad and it's a ticking time bomb. You will start to hear the chain clicking before everything goes. We do a bunch of timing chain jobs at the shop and all you have to do is upgrade to the new...

    Lr4 misfire on all cylinders

In the end I believe it was worth it because the vehicle only has about 108K miles on it. I myself do not know how much the person bought the vehicle from auction for but the owner of the vehicle was ecstatic when he picked it up haha. Probably made a nice penny flipping it.

    Lr4 misfire on all cylinders

The owner of the vehicle brought the car in cause you could hear the chain clicking while it ran. I believe that was what caused the valves to bend. The hydraulic tensioner was not holding stiff. Would move in and out very frequently. Also the guide rail was worn down. I believe it was a...

Hi guys, That is the link for the video. I had to upload it to Youtube because it said the file was too big to upload here. I do realize we do not have the fan pulley or the fan pulley belt on and that's because we were just testing to see if the engine would run smooth and idle on its own...

    Lr4 misfire on all cylinders

So adjusted the fuel pump timing and checked all wires leading to coils. Also checked all the injectors and they fire fine. Code reads misfire with low fuel. added about 3 gallons of fuel into the vehicle and still the same problem. At this point we are thinking it is a faulty ECU. I have a...

    Lr4 misfire on all cylinders

Hey guys, so we double checked the fuel pump camshaft timing and it's a full 180 degrees off. Will re-adjust that and update on the issue. to answer some of the questions - I was not able to get the code, my dad scanned it on the auto-logic and said there were misfires on all cylinders. I...

    Lr4 misfire on all cylinders

Once the engine starts it runs smooth but after about 30 seconds it literally just jumps down 500 rpm then another 500 rpm and just dies out. Will be checking all wires leading to coils and give an update.
