Thanks jlglr4 for the link to the thread. Your theory seems quite plausible. I don't have a scanner, but plan on getting one. I think I will go ahead and replace the actuator, and perhaps put in a release cable while I'm at it. Martin -

Hi All, This is my first post, although I have been reading and learning a lot here over the past year. The rear hatch on our 2010 LR4 will allow one opening after the ignition has been turned off. After that it will not open. There is no solenoid sound, no sign of a motor struggling... -
