Dual Exhaust on 03 SE7??
I had an F-150 truck that had a 4.6 V8 engine. I had the muffler cut off and a (Y) piece put on just after the cat. converter, then two pipes run out the back. It sounded great. Anyone ever done this to a Discovery? Would it help/hurt performance/function? Thanks, brad:bandit: -

rattling jump seats
There are some "rattles" coming from the cargo area. Seems like the jump seats, when folded up, make a lot of squeking noises. it this normal? something I can fix? 03 and 04 SE7 -

LR2 Gas Mileage
I saw a new LR2 here in knoxville. the MPG was in the high 20's. Hard to believe for an inline-6........my wife wantes one. they seem pretty slick. not boxy enough for me though! -

255/55/18 Ok, so I stopped by the local tire place(frees service and tire center) to price some Geolander HT/S. They have a buy 3 get one free deal. I thought I'd check it out. He said they run $260 a piece?!?! That is before mounting/balancing/etc. I walked out. I am going to go price... -

Tire size question - 18's to BFG 16's
how much bigger are those tires you have now compared to 255/55/18? Are they on the stock hurricane 5-spoke wheels? I have an 03 Disco II with 255/55/18's. I was wondering if I could put a bigger tire on those wheels?!?! -

Ok, in one week....my lab has chewed up my parking brake handle and destroyed the gear shifter handle. Any one know where I can get replacements?? I can live with the brake handle, but the gear shifter handle needs to be replaced. Also, anyone want a lab? thanks, brad knoxville, tn -

Thumbs up to Land Rover Knoxville. The ol 03 Discovery is running great today. They even fixed some other things that they noticed while fixing the original problem. Best car dealer I have ever dealt with. -

update Well, we had it towed to the LR dealer in Knoxville. Turns out the Coil went bad??? I don't have all the details, because they weren't finished yesterday. HE said the coil going bad cause some of the plugs to foul. They checked the gas and said it was fine. He said they saw it... -

The guy at Bear Valley (where we bought it) said to never run the gas tank below a 1/4. He said if you run it lower, it could pick up some trash out of the bottom of the tank? I checked the oil, looks fine. Will I know by looking if I blew a head gasket? Everything is dry under the... -

I will need new tires soon. I have looked at cooper, GY and yokohama. THey all look good. My question is, Can I go up in size from there without any rubbing or lifting? say 265/65/18? I am not even sure that size exists. THanks -

Serpentine Belt
04 Disco 26k miles. Oil change guy said it was starting to crack. Nothing to worry about any time soon, but should keep an eye on it. He wanted about $100 to replace it. I found one online for about $30. Can I change this myself? How difficult is it? Thanks, brad -

gear shifter clicking when let off brake pedal
we are taking it thursday. just can't figure out what it would be. every time you let off the brake pedal, the gear shifter clicks. and you can see it wiggle a little. kinda wierd. -

Just bought an 04 disco se7 with 26k miles. Wife said she was driving and noticed the shifter was in 3rd instead of drive.(women.....) she shifted it into drive and went on. Now, in any gear, when we let off the brake, it clicks and you can see the shifter move a little each time. what... -

thanks guys. the car is cosmetically in great shape. I did see some oil on the pavement underneath it. the guy said that he has never seen a land rover that didn't leak oil? this is a mom/pop used car lot by the way. do land rover dealers do checks on vehciles that people are looking to buy? -

I am looking at several used Discoveries. They average around 85k miles. Are there any specific things that I need to look at to ensure that it has been taken care of? Thanks.. we just bought an 03 for my wife and we love it. now I want one!!!
