I heard from a tire dealer today that Michelin is in the process of replacing Synchrones with Lattitudes. They have done this already with a lot of sizes and will be getting to the 255/55 R19 in a year or so. If that is the case and you buy 4 now, what happens when you puncture a sidewall two years from now? Will you be able to get a single tire or will you end up having to by 4 new tires because you can't find a match?

Somebody correct me here if I'm wrong, but I've always heard that you should replace all four tires if you blow one, anyway. You risk screwing up the transfer case if one tire is new vs. three others that have significant wear.

Another good reason to have a spare set of 18s for off-roading applications if you do a lot of it.

I thought you only needed to replace 2. For example if you blew your left front, you should
replace both front tires.
