1998 range rover 4.0 & 2.5 dt engine serial no. location

can anyone tell me where i can find the engine serial no. location of 1998 range rover 2.5 dt and 4.0 ?

Can't find anything on the 2.5dt but the 4L should have the seriel number stamped on a cast pad on the cylinder block between cylinders 3 and 5.
