I am looking for a nice A/T tire for my Disco II. I have the stock 18" rims and was wondering if anyone had any luck with a good off-road tire for this size rim without any rubbing issues. I have not lifted my Rover yet, but may do that too. I took it off into some mild mud just to "test the waters" and found myself spinning on my current tires, which are more for every day road driving. This may have been already posted on, but my search of the forum did not yield much. Maybe I would be better off just getting a narrower tire and some different rims. I am going to replace the front brakes/pads and my stupid driver-side window regulator this weekend (due to a failed weld :motz:), so I figured I would ask while I'm purchasing those parts. Any thoughts/suggestions? Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry no one has replied to this post... it seem tires and fuel economy are the two topics that get posted more than anything else.

I know there are several treads talking about tires and sizes for the DII here on the site... I am sure a quick search will yield a multitude of information.

Try finding some 16"rims on ebay then it opens up a whole slew of tire choices. Plus 16" tires cost a bunch less then 18's so buying rims can be justified. Joe
