1) After searching this forum, I'ved decided on a prodigy brake controller with the ford harness that apparently plugs in under the drivers dash. I have the tow kit installed.
Is this really as easy as it all sounds? A dealer was going to charge me $300 buck to do this, indicating that wiring was required? Anyone have a photo of a brake controller installed and where do I put the plug etc?
2) going to drive this lr3 from new orleans to vancouver canada with a 14ft trailer (haulmark low profile vnose).
Any tips on
a - towing with this vehicle for long distances
b - tire chains
c - fuel consumption, anything i can do to improve milage
d - selling this car in canada
e - I have a nice new trailer, and want to keep it nice - any tips on mudguards
your insight and experience appreciated!
