2006 LR3 Wood Grain Dashboard Kit

Has anyone bought and installed one of these kits, or bought one from the dealer and had them install it? I believe these kits apply with a 3M adhesive. I was wondering how they hold up in the long run. I got a quote for around $800 installed, from the dealer. Does this sound like a good price? Any comments apreciated. Thanks

I was lucky that my came from UK with the kit installed. If you look carefully, its not a perfect fit but I like the overall look of it.

You can get the kit thru the web for $518 but I dont know how hard or easy the installation is (but shouldn't be too bad)

There are some on Ebay that sell the complete piece with the wood grain already attachted. You then have to send your old dash pieces back. I have not seen them so I don't know the quality. Might be worth a look.

Not sure if they ever corrected the defective adhesive. If you do purchase the kit, try to get the newer, revised version.
