Hi, my 2010 RR Sport HSE naturally aspirated 5.0L had the transmission replaced at a nationwide knowing shop with a pre-owned one after about 133k miles. It worked well and even towed for about 1,300 miles but now after 3 month warranty expired it’s starting to slip, like the old one. I doubt the valve body train runner inserts were replaced during that process.
Following several videos on this I am trying to recover this one by replacing the valve train rubber inserts and while having the mechatronic unit out will simply check the resistance on all solenoids as I don’t believe I should mess with revamping the unit at this time, as it’s just not feasible to replace this transmission again.
Anyhow, before I go on with the monumental task of replacing the valve body gaskets, etc, I am posting a picture from my GAP tool that will show negative values along a comparison picture from my 2011 L320 that is almost identical but runs beautifully and only has 1 negative pressure value.
I need help interpreting these values as I’m going to tackle changing the valve train rubber inserts along changing the pan for metallic for quick and easy filter replacement and install in the future.
Also, I was told to reset the transmission settings using my GAP tool afterwards.
Your suggestions are greatly helpful for this project.
