You got a location and/or a picture of the crank sensor? I'll gladly check it...

Crankshaft position sensor (CKP Sensor)
The crankshaft position sensor is the most important
sensor on the engine. It is located in the left hand side
of the flywheel housing and uses a different thickness
of spacer for manual and automatic gearboxes. The
signal it produces informs the ECM:
- the engine is turning
- how fast the engine is turning
- which stage the engine is at in the cycle.
As there is no default strategy, failure of the
crankshaft sensor will result in the engine failing to
start. The fault is indicated by illumination of the
malfunction indicator light (MIL) on North American
specification vehicles.

OK... I found 4 ground wire someone disconnected from behind the head and didn't reconnect, but, I can't locate the crankshaft sensor. This Rover has an automatic..
I see the picture you sent (thank you very much) which is always a great help...but, I don't see anything that looks like it...Looking up from the bottom of the Rover... on the left side, is it towards the bottom, midway or top....?

I pulled the fuse block inside... seems #3 fuse
(Engine Management) in #1 satillite only has 1 wire (white with red)... NO wire to the other side of the fuse to make the circuit complete... Have 3 more in Sat. #1 the same way.... Looking wirng diagram for Satillite #1 Fuse Block....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Never mind...Figured it out.... One side of Sat. #1 fuse block had 2 wires feeding 3 fuses and the other 4...
