Motor will not turn over!! I have tried to jump start just in case it was the battery with no luck. I tried moving the gear selector back and forth and tried it in neutral. all of the lights and chimes work. I checked the starter fuse. One strange thing though is when I turn the key sometimes the radio looses power and asks for a code!! Thanks in advance for any help!!

Radio asking for code because the battery power isn't nada. With a charged battery volt meter across it should read 12.6 volts. Less than this say 10 or 11 volts cell is dead. Jump starting vehicles with cell open is taking alot of power from donor vehicle and the open cell acts like a big resistor. If battery is ok. Check voltage drops one procedure at a time. Let's start with the battery first because it's very warm out batteries die from the heat. Look for the stupid stuff next . Like battery cable open. And be careful in these warm conditions the battery is a hydrogen bomb. No sparking please and good ventilation if it's an open cell battery or closed and cracked.
