My rubber boot on the cruise control actuator has fallen apart and no longer holds the internal spring from slipping out sideways and sometimes making the throttle stick at 4k rpms....my question is...if I don't need or want to use cruise control, can I just disconnect/remove spring on the cruise control actuator and go without it? Any other things (cables, vacuum hoses, etc) that I should also remove or plug of I just simply remove the spring causing the problem and be done with it? Thanks in advance!!!
