HI,

It's a '97 D1 @82k. Had new ABS sensors put in last month by LR independent mechanic. Great, ABS and check engine light both go dark again. Yesterday had my regular duty mechanic do the pad and rotor job. Brakes feel great, but now the ABS light stays on. I took it back to him, and he can't figure it out. I suggested that maybe an ABS sensor got knocked out. He said we don't go near the sensors. So, before I go to the LR mechanic, is there something I can check???

Thanks!
Eric

If you look under there, you should see the wires going to the ABS sensors, just pull them out and reseat them.... if that doesn't work, then there is a chance that they didn't get the wheel bearing tight enough and it is causeing the sensors not to read them correctly.

Thanks Joey,

I checked out the wires to the sensors, and everything seemed OK. I took it to my indie LR mechanic. He checked the code, and it turned out to be the brake light switch.
