I went out to a restaurant with my wife valet parked the truck and when i came out the key would not unlock the doors. I opened it manually and when i got home used the spare key and it worked. the next day it stopped working and it has not worked since. Anyone have any suggestions? thanks

You mean the remote unit will not unlock the vehicle? If so, then the battery is probably dead. When you put a new battery in it. You will probably have to attempt to lock the doors 4 or 5 times with the remote before it will work. Or you may even have to unlock with the key and try to lock with the remote... tends to be fun.

If one key fob works, and the other one does not... either the key fob is broken or (doubtful) the vehicle has forgotten the fob's programming. Either way, it's not something you can "fix." If it's the fob, you need a new one. If it needs to be reprogrammed, you are stuck with the service department.

By the way, the warranty is 4 years and 50K miles in North America.

I don't think you can replace the battery. It's designed to be charged as the key is in the ignition. Is the key you are using the one you normally used, or has it sat awhile without being in the ignition?

Worst case scenario, your dealer will need to send to Solihul for a new key. Takes a few weeks to get.
