I have a 2001 Range Rover HSE with navigation. The subwoofer stopped working sometime ago, and I decided I would like to get it fixed. I can hear very little sound out of one speaker, so it wasn't totally blown. I took apart the enclosure and found the amplifier (or what may be a crossover) screwed into the bottom of the speakers. I've checked with the dealer, and they gave me a part number (AMR6356) as a replacement, but it turns out that this part is for the rear power amplifier. I actually bought one off Ebay for $10.00, but it doesn't work. When I connect it to the subwoofer, I get no audio out of my system. So, it seems that AMR6356 is not the right part.
I've seen complete subwoofers for sale on Ebay, but all of them have the same type of amplifier on the side of the enclosure like the AMR6356. I'm not sure how to fix this. Can anyone help with this? Thanks.
