Android phones and connections

Hello,

Im a proud owner of a New Discovery 4 . Based in Tokyo Japan.

I have a quick question in regards to connectivity.

Of course via bluetooth I can receive calls etc on my new HTC Desire HD

My question is can I connect my phone as I would the i-phone if I can find an approriate cable?

Does the LR4 software only work with the i-phone?

Any information would great.
