Another 'what's that noise' question

I keep hearing an electrical motor running for several minutes after I shut off the car. It's coming from behind the passenger side rear wheel. Is it something with the air suspension or something? The resevoirs shouldn't be that empty at the end of a normal drive, should they?

it could be your air compressor for the air suspension, but that is located under the driverside side rear door, so your noise is a bit of mystery to me. Do you have rear air conditioning? Could it be a cooling fan for that system? I don't have rear air on mine, so I'm not much help.

I hear that all the time as well.
No idea what it is.

I seem to recall when I asked long ago, it was something to do with the fuel system.

Did anyone ever findout what this problem is?

What seems to be the air compressor turns on just about every time I start the engine. I took it into the dealership to check for leaks, and they reported everything to be normal with no leaks. They also stated that the noise i was hearing was "normal" It doesn't seem normal to me, since I have never heard the compressor b4. It sounds like a little 12volt AC tire pump/compressor, every time I start the engine. I'm thinking the compressor is going bad. Does anyone have anymore thoughts about this?

The suspension seems to be working fine...no glitches when I change ride height, no noise when I go over bumps, and no lights. Just the compressor noise on startup. (lasts for about a minute.
