Hi - hey - I have a 2000 Discovery II, Automatic - I am replacing the woodgrain - I am stumped with the shift console - how is the gear shift knob and the gear indicator panel removed from the console? - thanks

Mike - hi - hey - the video is great - thanks - the video shows/says 'just pull the gear shift knob off, (girl demos after which the narrative continues) ...it's not that easy' - so I need afirmation - I just pull like heck - no concern for damage to anything but myself? - I do wonder if I can break something, there is the square shift release button on the front, and fairly significant pulling is not budging it. Again, all that's to it is to pull like heck? - thanks again

Mike - hey - hi again - I tugged and tugged and the gear shift knob came free - if you pull hard enough the shift knob will pop free - and I did not hit myself in the head! - thanks again
