I have a 2007 Range Rover HSE. I have been through:

1. Blackberry Bold
2. IPHONE 3Gs
3. Verizon Tour

Each of the phones had either "echo" that everyone heard on the other end of every call OR the Verizon Tour being the latest test phone gives me loud static pops/scratches as if something is shorting out when I am connected on a call.

The good thing I guess with the Verizon Blackberry Tour is there is no echo for the person on the other end (They say they can hear themselves) however the popping/scratching thing is annoying as heck.

Anyone have a good phone on any network that works perfect with a 2007 HSE bluetooth system?

Its not something broken its incompatibility bugs with the different phones and software levels it seems.

Check on the Land Rovet USA website for the phone and software that you have and your vehicle. You will need the LR vin number. I have a similar problem with my 08 LR3 and now I am waiting for a module and mic replacement from LR. Will see if that takes care of problem.

Usually the caller hears his/her own echo if your speaker volume is too high during a call, try lowering it a few clicks when you are talking to someone and ask them if the problem goes away. I had a static popping sound every time my old BB Pearl would first connect to the BT system when I would dial an outgoing call. But I got used to it. It would not crackle or pop during a call, however. Ever since switching to a Droid, the static pop is no longer an issue, so it must be Bluetooth software related.
