a quick mention.. HID/Xenon lights actually run cooler then the halogens... and use significantly less power too...

ok so maybe i just learned this stuff when i was researching the subject and felt the need to act like i know what im saying.. haha

Well I am glad you had to learn it so that you could share it with me. I really would not have imagined that. Actually I can't hardly believe it, I am going outside and turn the truck on and see how hot the lenses do get. Wow, you are right, the HID are way cooler than the High Beam which I assume are something else (halogens maybe). Just realized that the LR3 has plastic lenses unlike the Range Rover that has glass. Maybe it wouldn't be as expensive to replace the plastic as it was to replace the glass but I think the tape would work and I think it would be worth the cost. If I try it I'll post back and let you all know what the cost is and how it works. After all, the lights are probably the most vulnerable part on the front of our truck (unless you jab a stick through the radiator of course).
