I have Borla cat back on a 95 Di 5-speed with 4.6. RPI chip Piper cam and high flow cats. It sounds like a 289 Mustang with long glass packs, all good but one problem (there are two) it has a drone rpm zone. Between 62 and 70 mph which is normal highway rpm's and drone and i'm a performance hot rodder and this is getting to me and more people sitting in the back. I haven't the time but have a Vibrant extra quiet stainless steel flow thru resonator to install before the exhaust tip. Other problem is the muffler sounds like it has a pound of roofing gravel loose inside, rattles worse when cold but still when hot to where people look at me, I tell them I have that Borla sound. Borla "techs" stated 1 in 200 fail and I must use my charge card and order another, ship back the old with bill of sale then they will zero out my charge card, this prevents 3 week down time. I purchased it 5 years 42,000 miles, it's ben rattling the last 20,000 miles. The only good thing it was purchased on a sale and sure beat Rover's price and weight of OEM exhaust. Muffler alone did not show any great performance increase, other above items made it run the way Rover should of made them. With four 200 pound people I can spank a 4.6 powered newer Rover with one person driving.
