Camshaft filters that feed the VVT's, removal tips?

I am finishing up tearing apart and cleaning the VVTs and figured I should replace or at least clean if possible the filters that the oil passes thru to the VVT's

Any tips on removing them without destroying them?

Got them out, found a thread on a Jaguar forum of a guy rebuilding his 5.0

I used these thin needle nose pliers and they came out fairly easy. I was going to clean and reuse but think I'll buy new ones if available.
