fist off...i have an 00 dico w/o the ace package. i just installed new 265/70-16 tires and now it looks funny cause the tires looks too big for the truck. is there a lift kit that will allow me to keep the air bags in the back? i'm not planning on anything like 3"...something minor.

second...i was wondering if this has happened to anyone. i changed the oil the other day and when i tried to open the oil filler cap...it wouldn't come off. so i use a monkey ***** on the cap and it turns out that the whole thing came off including the tube that is screwed to the valve cover. i manage to twist off the cap with a monkey wrench holding the tube and the other holding the cap. now i can't twist the tube back into the valve cover all the way. everytime i twist in the cap...it's really hard to twist it off again. tried lubing it with oil...but no avail. do i need to buy a whole new tube and cap?

Lift kit with air bags can be done, but what you will have to do is do the lift to the front, and reset the ride hight on the rear sensors... not sure if this is the best solution, but it will work.

Oil cap, never heard of that before... Not even sure how to fix this... sorry, I just have never seen this before.

I have a 97 D1 and the same thing happens to me with the oil cap. No matter what I try the whole cap and tube comes off. I just be extra careful pouring the oil. Nothing has ever leaked or anything.
I dont think twice about it now.

Nothing to worry about in my opinion.

thanks for both your 2 cents. i just came back from a 600 mile trip and nothing was leaking from the cap or the tube....so i'm not gonna lose any sleep over that.

as for the lift...i think now that it's been a few days....i'm use to the sight of the bigger tires...wish it could be a tad higher but oh well...that's the least of my worries. Gotta save the funds to takle the leaky head gasket problem.
