Tried to used my CD player for the first time on my new LR3. Following the intructions dutifully, pushed the CD button, a display came up that said "no disc" and asked me to select a channel from 1 to 6, pushed channel 1, waited for sometime, I shoulld supposedly see an "insert disc" command, but it never came up, the screen went directly to "loading...", then quickly displayed "no disc" and asked me to select a channel again. Went through another cycle, the same results, tried different channels, again, the same results. Tried to gently push a CD in, it wouldn't take it. Turned off the engine and turn it on again, same results. I am at a lost, did I do something wrong or that there's a problem with the CD player?

Something very similar happened to me shortly after I married my girlfriend...

Jim?

No I'm telling you the entire time we were dating my CD would go in and out of her slot all the time. Didn't matter where we were or what angle I tried to put the CD in at. That thing never failed once to accept. Then soon after our wedding I think see swicthed media formats or something because when I get the CD near it I get an error message.

Good response, askewed.

I think that is normal behavior, not just for the LR3, but for all models. Once you marry 'em...it's curtains.
