Compatibility issue

Hello.

I have a simple question: are the front lights of a Land Rover Discovery 2003 model compatible with those of a Land Rover 2000 model? Can they be installed from the 2003 model on the 2000 model?

Not a direct fit but some have done the conversion already. Seemed like a lot of work involved to get them in. Try a search at dweb or here for the posts.

I too asked this question here a few months back, and since then have found little info on the issue. What I have found though leads me to believe that, aside from the astetic gain from the new lamps, the light output gain is minimal, and most definetly not worth the trouble. Parts alone for this swap will run close to $2k, unless you get a great deal on them. I found a post recently on discow that covered this topic, one of the few guys to do the swap was being flamed for doing the conversion(but he also has 19" chrome wheels), which lead to one of the longest most annoying post I have ever seen......long story short, unless you have money to burn this is not worth it.

i just found this pretty decent write illustraing the work involved in this, if you think you can handle the price for parts and the labor go for the swap...btw i found 2 new style headlights on ebay, current bid was like 60 each...good luck
