Hello,

I turned off my 2001 DII today and to my surprise my compressor for my suspension kept running (loudly too) and won't stop. I don't see any sag in my suspension and I need to drive my truck - but I don't want the compressor to run on so long it kills my battery. Dumb question I think, but can I disconnect the compressor and drive it? I think that the answer to my own question is no, as it probably needs to make constant minor corrections to the suspension throughout the trip - but I thought I'd ask anyway.

Thanks for your help.

Had the same problem on my 99DII about 4 months ago, there was a cracked plastic elbow that comes out of the top of the compressor. LR could not supply the part and suggested i replace the whole compressor, did the coil conversion instead. check the system for leaks, thats what will cause it to run constantly, and eventually burn up the compressor. good luck.
