Opening the rear hatch

I'm looking to open the rear hatch from inside. I saw a YT video where a lady had an LR3 and while sitting inside she hit the fob button and the glass hatch opened. She said you could program that button at the bottom of the fob to do various things like turn on the lights and such. I didn't see anything about that in the LR4 service manual and my fob looks a lot different. The hazards button is where she was pressing. Are there ways to open the hatch from the inside?

Also, when I tried to open the rear side doors with the handle from inside the latch wouldn't release and the door wouldn't open. I didn't see a child lock and the doors were unlocked. Any ideas?
