I have a 93 Classic 4.2 LSE the coolant warning light started flashing on my way home last night. I have checked the water level when cold and topped up appropriately but the light won’t stop flashing.

Any ideas?

Sensor going bad.

I would also check the to make sure you not getting too hot. use a temp gun to read the radiator temp in several different areas.

I still say a sensor, but it doesn't hurt to make sure.

Turns out it was only the slidy bit on the level sensor that dips into the expansion tank was limescaled up. Bit of elbow grease and i am back in business.
