D light with a slash through it

my cluster near the milage/trip screen...has a small D with a slash thru it.....and then the shifter locks.....what happend to my car everything was fine then this happend??? please help....when i turn the car off and turn it back on the car shifts into gear ...

More info needed, what year of Disco? Is this a NAS Disco or European?

I can't find a D with a slash through it in my repair manual.... so the reason I ask.

its 99 disco...euro version..spoke to service @ the Stealer(dealer)....they said it has to do with my ignition....it does feel a little loose...but the d with the slash wont go away.......also now my signal lights rear ower windows and front and rear fogs stoped working...im goin nutz..help with info!!!

I would start by checking fuses, sounds like you may have blown a fuse.
