haw to determinate is front or back differential bad.I Herring noise in the cabin but don't know from which side is coming.LR shop told em is back . Haw did hi found whiteout releasing oil

It has started to get slight seal seeping but no dripping. LR mechanic said seeping is normal but i need new rear differential .i was pretty shore noise is coming from middle or font of the car. Anybody know haw to determinate problem.I can hear the noise when slowing down and preparing to stop 30-10 mph.I em worried i will replace rear diff and have still same problem

LR shop replace yesterday rear differential.On may way home i’m getting vibration in my seat. after 8 mile arriving home turning left on my driveway and i start to herring grounding noise .i went back to shop park may car over night.today 7:00 i went to shop and surprise my LR tire have 1.5” play. my axle was loose .I will need new bearings on left and right side.Haw ken this happen.
