Driver door seal deterioration

I'm wondering if anyone else is having door seal problems? I just finished washing the beast and found this as I cleaned the door jambs but all the other seals seem fine.

Had the same issue after the Rover was in for repair of a leaky sunroof. The tech it appears did not fully seat the seal and after a couple months it was ruined. Replaced under warranty the next time we had the oil changed....
