Error Messages LR3 2006

Hello,

My dad bought a land rover lr 3 2006 in Afghanistan for his business stay over there however he is experiencing a few technical difficulties for which he wanted me to inquire about. According to him the car was all fine until a morning when he started it and the air suspension wouldn’t work and all the error messages came forth.

The error messages are:

Special programs off
Suspension fault
System fault special programs not available

And an icon came up of which I have a picture attached.

I don’t think a Land Rover mechanic is in Afghanistan to help out lol.

These problems arose over night, any help would be greatly appreciated

Have him get a new battery (or at least get it checked) and change the brake pedal switch.

Thanks for the response. I told him to replace the battery and googling the brake pedal switch to locate it im getting "brake light switch", are they the same ?

Probably....should be a part that costs about $15 and mounts up near the brake pedal stalk.

+1 on the Battery and Brake Light switch. Sounds like the problem. I do not suggest throwing just any battery in it. There should be a way to import it if needed, perhaps coordinating with the Brits over there. I would imagine they are bringing in parts by the plane load to keep their vehicles running.

Brake Light switch replacement file

Below is a link to some material I have posted re replacement of the brake light switch. Also have him check the tail light bulbs. Did he replace any recently? If so, I doubt that genuine Land Rover were available. Chinese and Russian bulbs probably fit but are unlikely to have the same spec as EU manufactured bulbs. This does matter.

Replace the **** with disco3 co uk and insert a period in each of the two spaces to get the link to function.

Battery plus brake switch for sure. In my case the T-Case ECU was bad, after battery and ECU all was fine.
