First Oil Change

My dealer told me that my first recommended oil change is at 7500 miles. Now thats what LR recommends and I know that. But shouldn't I change oil at around first 600 miles or so or may be atleast at the first 1000 miles as the engine is brand new and then from there onwards at LR specified regular intervals?

I would not wait until 7500mile for my first oil change. My service manual (different region from you) specified first oil change at 600 miles. A new engin will have very small metal scraps from running in. An oil change at 600 or 1000 miles will flush those out. I highly recommended.
