Of course, we know we can lock the doors from outside the vehicle two ways...press the lock button on the key fob, or press the door handle button...WHILE THE KEY FOB IS WITHIN 36" of the door handle.
Now here's the real question: is there a way to lock the doors from the inside and shut the door without the key fob present? What happens when you left your key fob in your purse on the 3rd floor of your house, you walk the dog in the neighborhood and when you return you discover you forgot to lock the LR4?
We have tried every combination of electric lock / manual flip lock, etc. to no avail.
Should I resign myself to always taking my fob with me whenever I go outside? Or is there a way to lock up without it?
