Front parking sensor issue...

I have the oddest issue...upon placing the LR in drive or reverse, the front parking sensors quit and show the "Front Parking Sensors Not Available", and that only happens when objects are in front of them, in the sensing area, like the garage. In an open area, they are fine...no fault. As soon as they pick up on something, the fault comes. Any thoughts? Fuse is good.

Also...I have no access to any Faultmate, etc, and the nearest dealer is 2.5 hours away....
