Suspension Issue

Recently bought this 2006 LR3. Been having issues with front suspension since purchase in that slow to raise and drops over time. PO stated right front strut was brand new and gave me a brand new left for install. I did the install. I also have rebuilt the front and center valve blocks and purchased a new Hitachi compressor. Have sprayed for air leaks and have found none. Front still drops slightly overnight. And front end slow to raise. I’m eliminating ride height sensors because it drops evenly overnight with the fuse pulled. Could the valve block be shot even with rebuild? Could there be a slight leak I can’t see in BOTH front struts? Any suggestions???

Update--- after another confirmation test overnight....front dropped a lot...rear also dropped but only ½" (both sides). Does this point to possibly all three valve blocks? And if replacing valve blocks, are these something that need to be purchased from a place like Atlantic British or Lucky 8($$)? Or are these parts something that can be gotten elsewhere for much less money?

I would set the suspension on off road height.
Disconnect the battery and let the vehicle sit overnight. See if the suspension drops.
This rule out the electrical side of things.

That is what I did last night...the fuse for the suspension was pulled so the height sensors were inactive.

Since your front dropped most, your issue is most likely in that area (not center/rear)

Put in off-road height and spray soapy water on the Voss connector at the top of each front strut (again)
A mirror can help see bubbles better

Spray and inspect the front block(again) - but internal leaks won't bubble at all
Or replace, or open/clean the front block (again)

Don’t put it in off-road height, this changes the position of the air bags. They usually get pinholes at the fold in normal ride height. If you put it in off-road height it changes where the fold is and skews the results.

What brand or source for the new struts? I bought off Amazon to see if they were any good and got a bad one right out of the box. They sent a replacement and they’ve all been going strong for 2 years now.

I have never had any luck rebuilding the valve blocks, just replace them.

Raising slowly is a symptom of not having enough pressure built up in the tank. The system doesn’t hold enough air if you’re starting from the ground.
