Over a few days my '12 suspension will have dropped with the battery unplugged. The drop will occur both in normal mode and 4X4 height where in the latter mode it will drop down past normal mode. Its not one corner, but usually front or both front and rear depending on the duration of time. Its progressed and before it would only drop overnight in 4X4, not normal mode. Another interesting behavior now is if the doors are closed and I connect the battery after its been sitting for days, it thinks its in access mode and will adjust the suspension accordingly.

I looked at vids and searched here on what to do and I used a spray bottle with water and soap, mirror and flashlight. I looked at each air shock fitting after spraying water and one corner seemed like it might be leaking? Its not obvious and the tiny bubbles may be evaporating but maybe I have a leak there. Its nothing like an air mattress where its a continuous bubble.

Underneath the truck I pulled the air compressor cover off and hit what I could there and didn't see any leak.

Sprayed the black input tube whatever that is with a neck going into the unit

On the same device what looks certainly like an air line didn't leak either

On the compressor towards the rear there was one line I sprayed. Then another line fitting with the green connectors on it that runs up the frame rail on the right

Sprayed the center valve block, including the line up top not in view

Next is to find and spray the front and rear valve blocks, but after all that I'm not hopeful to find a leak at either location. I didn't check the tank fitting, saw one air line going to it.

I was reading that the valve blocks can fail internally from residue in the air. Where does the air leak out in those cases where the residue is the root cause? If its not there then my air bags might be leaking? Any tips on where to look for the leak?

I've been lucky so far in that I've found bubbles, the front valve block has been an issue for me repeatedly, and I will probably look to replace, or at least replace the VOSS fittings. I think they're intended to be single use, and I've had to undo them a few times to clean the block out of desiccant dust. I have had bubbles from the compressor cover, but replaced the whole compressor with a new Hitachi unit. I don't think it leaks there anymore. I hear the rear valve block is a pain to get to. Note that once the car reaches the desired height, the control unit will drop the gallery pressure down so it's not constantly pressurized. Would be odd for all 4 airbags to have leaks simultaneously.

Front block is a bit of a PITA to get to, you have to remove the fender liner, and unplug the TPMS antenna connector before you can remove it.

Have your struts/airbags ever been replaced? My leaks were the airbags themselves. Raise it all the way up and spray soapy water all over the bags. If you do this in a quiet spot, you may hear the bubbling like I did.

I know this does not address your exact question, but this YouTube video is the best I have seen that explains how the air suspension works. If you understand all the air pipes, sensors and three valve blocks, figuring out your specific issue might be easier.

Ignore his random Audi segment in the middle of the video

Also do you have a good scan tool like GAP IID? Very useful to get exact codes related to air susp.

Also attached a couple pix from the service manual, also a must have to download and refer to.

Lastly, I swear I watched a video where the guy logically broke down various symptoms and indicated most likely culprits. For example, one symptom might be both rears sag overnight versus one corner sagging versus perhaps the whole car settling.

I will try to find it. Good luck!

Randy

All 4 bags are original, 126k mi. on them now. Yesterday I had it in 4X4 mode leveled with doors shut and then turned it off with battery disconnected. This morning fired it up, hit 4X4 mode standing outside and shut the door. The rear came up some. I think the VOSS fitting on the RR air line to the shock could be leaking.

I sprayed the fitting again and noticed after the stream from the soap water stopped, super duper tiny bubbles appear out the collar of the VOSS fitting so maybe that is the leak in back. I tried to get pics but I needed 3 hands for that having a mirror and a flashlight lol.

After that I tried spraying the bags or actually the air strut assembly all around and all I could hear was water dripping, but it was worth a shot.

It hasn't thrown any codes. I don't have GAP but have the SDD software on a laptop.

I'm looking to replace the brass air line connector in the pic below. It mates the air line to the air strut. The dealer gave me PN LR044836 for $69. Price seems right for a brass fitting (j/k) but the part doesn't look right https://landrover.oempartsonline.com/oem-parts/land-rover-connector-lr044836 I looked through the catalog and didn't see it for sale.

Do I need to buy a whole air line, much like if someone wants a coolant fitting we need to buy the whole line and connector as an assembly?

I thought the rear block is the issue if both rear sag together. If one side sags, then it's the bag. I had a similar issue, and solved it with the o-ring kit for $30. It was a few years ago, but haven't had the issue since. I have an 06 with original bags and 150k miles. I'd say I'm getting my monies worth out of them.

No way Im paying $69 for a brass fitting. The reality is the brass is probably fine. If anything its the o-ring. There is a brass ferrule on the plastic line. Removing it when installing my new shocks usually broke it.
