I'm planning on retrofitting heated seats in my '16 LR4 since the original owner never spec'ed it with them. I looked for a good set of Black LR4 seats that were already wired for it, but ive had no luck this entire year. So I decided to cobble everything together in pieces.
So far I've tracked down the lower frame assemblies, the lower cushion and pan, the upper seat back, and the center console controls. However since I've bought this peace-meal... what I cannot find is the bolts to attach the seat back to the lower frame and the lower cushion to the frame. It seems yards just toss em rather than the hassle of dealing with them, but I don't know what I need.

I'm used to VW/Audi/etc where every part and bolt and plastic clip has a part number and its easy to find in ETKA. But how does that work for Land Rovers? The dealer part pages dont show any of the hardware. it's not even shown in the diagrams. example: https://parts.landrovercary.com/oem-parts/land-rover-seat-back-frame-lr013702

So first off, what bolts do I need to source, I assume I need 4 for the bottom and 4 for the back.
Second, when I run into something similar in the future, how does one find what bolts are what?

For some random bits I've had good luck on eBay. I needed just the plastic clips for the bottom of a window. JLR would only sell the whole assembly. I messaged a seller asking for just the clips and we were able to make a deal.

I tried with a few sellers I've gotten LR4 stuff from before, but the response I got was either that they dont usually keep random bolts, or that the vehicle was stripped so long ago that they would have gotten rid harware like that by now.

Look for a salvage yard like pull-your-part. With all the modifications you want to do it would be better to find one locally to scavenge off of or buy one that has everything you want already.

I tried, trust me I tried. I live in a rural area so no yards around me have any Land Rovers. When I did searching around this summer, the closest yard I could find was about 3 hours away. :(
