Pretty awesome... but bloody expensive.... front/center/rear locking diffs... I would only buy an older one that wasn't as nicely appointed. Messing up a nice 50k vehicle is one thing, but a new G550 is over 89k. Ouch.

i love the aesthetics of them and they are fantastic off road but you definitely pay for it.

...I have driven 2 of them and I'll say this: they beat the hell outta ya! They are not a comfy ride. I agree that their drivetrain is impressive with all the lockers; but that's all I know. Crawl ratio? Approach/departure/breakover angles? Wheel travel? ...not sure about any of that. I'm fairly certain the LR3 could go anywhere it could go, particularly with the HD package.

Absolutly love them and would have bought a used one but I need the 3rd row.
They are the bomb in my opinion

Man, I really like them. Classy, but brutish looking. Too bad they are still $55k+ even for 4-5 year old models. I especially like the AMG's and their side exit exhausts, they sound MEAN.

Waaaay to much chrome. It'd be way cooler if it was camouflaged and $40k. No truck should have more chrome than a '55 chevy.

Here's the thing about them...and also the thing about Rangies. Assuming all the parameters I outlined above are on the level and the thing can really go places....that's exactly what I'd want to do! ...and I'd want an AMG. ...and I just don't have the stones to wheel a $120k vehicle (the AMGs are that much new). Nor could I stomach wheelin' a Supercharged L322.

...I would squirm with every scuff or scratch. Not that I would want to scuff the LR3, but it's still a lot less expensive.

....would be fun to find out, though huh? About the G's moxie....
