Glovebox Question....

Hello again folks - I've been looking thru the owners manual but cannot find an answer there. Anyone know/remember what this little clip (circled) on the upper glovebox door is for?

Well, wasn't that thoughtful of them to think of that! Now I'm thinking they should have gone a step further and installed a small pull-out shelf between the boxes to write on!!!!! ‍‍LOL LOL
