I was out wheeling in Lefthand Canyon on Big Mama Hill this weekend. As I was backing down a section to take another shot at it, I heard a really nasty metal on metal grinding sound coming from the left front wheel. I was running the rod mod in "offroad" height and running 265/65 18 Hankook Dynapro tires. I was at full lock. I heard it more than once and then haven't heard or felt anything since. Ideas???

Hmmm, that actually could be. That would be better than something expensive... I like that answer.

How busy was Lefthand? Haven't been there in years because it's always been overrun. Even Carnage Canyon, when it was open.

Hope you find your problem.

I heard similar metalic grinding noise and when I took it into the shop they told me I needed a new differential and replaced it under original manufacturer's warranty free of charge. :)
