Yeah, its detonation that is occurring. Dieseling sounds like the wrong word and tbh a diesel sounds better. I have a sharp ear on my V8 and whether or not the problem pre-existed or not its nails on the chalk board.

I wanted to record the noise today so I went to the boat ramp area on the CO river where it reproduced originally and the place where I went back a week later with 91 and it still reproduced. Today it didn't happen at all. I kept running 91 Octane in it so I'm guessing maybe it took a few fill-ups to reset the fuel tables and adapt to higher octane. There is a 4X4 trail that it was detonating on so I'm going to try finding that place again to see if it reproduces.
