yeah... one of the root causes of premature wear was identified as oil starvation at startup. Thus the recommendation to move from the original 5W to the 0W. As that is the cold rating, 0W ensures quick oil flow at cold temperatures.
Once you get up to temperature, and with these high miles, I too am debating moving from -20 to the -30. Maybe I'll wait for the warmer weather.
