Hey Gang...

Im just about to get my landy back from the body shop after a couple of young girls rammed me at well over 70km/hr (they said they never saw me). Anyway, once they hit me I hit the vehicle in front of me and damaged the plastic part of the front bumper (lets not talk about the rear end damage). I managed to convince the body shop to get me an abs a bar for the front end and put some hellas on it. Well the question I pose is since I dont want to use the silly toggle switch they provide, has anyone installed lamps and used a factory switch? I have an extra factory fog light switch but it is five posts and the hella is three. The landy part has each post numbered one through five. Can anyone tell me which posts to use?

Thanks

Pietro

The switch should run a relay, not go directly to the light. You should be fine using the stock wiring/relay as long as your not running a higher wattage lamp. I'd guess stock lamps were probably 55w each so stay around that and you should be fine.

Cool Thanks!

I found some usefull info for anyone else looking to do this. On the factory fog light switch (which you can get from expedition exchange) the pin configuration is as follows:

1 - Power Input (for real lights)
2 - Power Input (for the light on the switch)
3 - not used
4 - Power Output (for the real lights)
5 - Ground

This info was pretty useful to me. I Hope it helps others as well.
