I have a strange problem with my 2003 Disco... When it is cold...like under 40 degrees outside...my headlights take about 10 seconds or more to turn on. What's even more odd is that the turn signals take about the same time to activate.

Once the vehicle is fully warmed up, everything works normally.

I am guessing there is some sort of black box under the dash that is malfunctioning. I'll also venture to guess that the box cannot be repaired (must be replaced) and that it's very expensive!

Can anyone here point me in the right direction with this?

Thanks! :hello:

Sounds more like the grease in the headlight/turn signal stalk is frozen.

I should add that the wipers have the same delay as the headlamps and turn signals.

Any other ideas?

Yep, I have the same issue with my wipers when it is cold, it is the switch, headlights I had the same issue until I changed the switch. So the principle is still the same.
